Laser scattering from Magnetized Plasma
POSTER
Abstract
Magnetized inertial confinement fusion utilize lasers for compression and heating up of fuel and magnetic fields to provide additional confinement. The interaction between the lasers and magnetized plasma results in modified laser scattering. In this research, we use the nonlinear three-wave equation to analyze the interaction between the initial pump wave and two daughter waves resulting from the scattering. We perform linear stability analysis to elucidate how magnetic fields affect the scattering via different parameters in the three-wave equations. Additionally, we solve the boundary and initial value problems, which can be used in experimental settings.
