Coherent and Squeezed States in Gravity

Abstract
Quantisation of gravitational field modifies the classical equation of motions to a Langevin equation which includes a quantum noise term as a source. It was shown recently that when the gravitational field is in a squeezed state, the quantum noise is exponentially enhanced.
We investigate in which physical scenarios squeezed states occur in nature. In particular, we predict that linearized general relativity with or without matter around any classical background naturally leads to squeezing.
