A Symmetry Mode Analysis of Metal Halide Perovskites
ORAL
Abstract
Structural distortions and optoelectronic properties are known to be correlated in some 2D layered Hybrid Organic-Inorganic Perovskites (HOIPs). We will present our work on relationships between symmetry-adapted distortion modes (basis functions of the irreducible representations of the parent space group symmetry) of the metal-halide framework and excitonic properties like reduced mass, bandgap energy, and first excited state energy, as well as providing a simple framework for understanding the results.
