Neutrino Astronomy

I review the status and recent advances of neutrino astronomy, including the observation of highenergy extragalactic neutrinos at IceCube, and ongoing efforts to detect the diffuse supernova neutrino background. Special emphasis is given on how astrophysical neutrinos are powerful probes of physics beyond the standard model of particle physics. Near future prospects will conclude the presentation.
