New Frontiers in Fundamental Black Hole Physics

ORAL · Invited

Abstract

In addition to not letting anything escape from inside, some black holes produce striking shadows and spectacular jets. The latest discoveries on black holes in the Universe have prompted great advances in the theoretical description of the phenomena produced by these mysterious objects. In this talk, I will review the challenges associated with deciphering these fundamental aspects of black holes and report on the progress made in solving some of these queries.
