Fluctuation Analysis of Evanescent Field Scattering from Nanoparticles

Abstract
Interactions of nanoparticles and molecules with surfaces is an important application to soft-matter and biological physics. We have developed a variable-angle TIRF illumination microscope for aqueous samples suitable for both scattering and fluorescence fluctuation experiments. The microscope and preliminary results with using gold nanoparticles are presented.
